CHICAGO, IL – Three people were shot at a block party in the West Englewood neighborhood this morning, police said.

At about 1 a.m., police were called to a block party in the 7200 block of South Seeley Avenue, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez.

At first, the police found one man with a gunshot wound to the neck, Perez said. The victim was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in serious-to-critical condition, Perez said.

Later, two more people with gunshot wounds were discovered in the large crowd, Perez said. They were taken to Holy Cross Hospital. Their condition is unknown, he said.

A witness told police that someone who fled the scene in a dark-colored Chevy Monte Carlo was involved in the shooting.

No one is in custody. The incident appears to be gang related, Perez said.
