The Cleveland Show

The wait is finally over, and we got to experience the spin off from the smash hit cartoon Family Guy.

The Cleveland Show kicked off tonight, and the long awaited first episode is in the books. We finally saw how Cleveland left Quahog and landed in his new spot in Virginia.

I couldn’t wait to see my girls Sanaa Lathan and Reagan Gomez-Preston get on with Mike Henry and Seth MacFarlane.

Funny or not is the question.

It is impossible for anything of this magnitude to live up to expectations, but you gotta love what Peter Griffin did to the crib where the “chocolate people” lived.  One last ride on the bathtube roller coaster was the appropriate last straw for Cleveland.

That wasn’t the only time I laughed.  We all learned not to use the bathroom at R. Kelly’s house …if you will.

The new characters all work.  This cartoon will work.  It won’t end world hunger or come up with a plan for health care reform, but it will work as a funny cartoon.

“…and that’s what I was tryna tell you!”
