Doug Banks’ Show Cancelled

Written by on October 5, 2009

My boy Doug Banks‘ current radio show maybe coming to an end. Citadel Networks will be canceling the Doug Banks Show at the end of 2009.

The network won’t say it but the ratings are just in the can and I really don’t think it’s Doug’s fault as much as it is the whole syndication market is going to tank in the next couple of years. The hosts are too greedy and SEASONED and stations can’t keep passing up local revenue. (Radiofacts).

Doug Banks earned love from Chicago Urban radio fans during his stay at 102.7 FM WBMX (now WVAZ) in the early eighties, then he was on 107.5 FM WGCI from 1986 to 1994.

Banks went national with “The Doug Banks Morning Show,” then he more recently moved to afternoons with “The Ride with Doug and DeDe.”
