Another Warrant Dropped on Lil Wayne

Weezy is currently serving a one year sentence in New York for having a loaded gun, but that didn’t stop a judge in Arizona from issuing a bench warrant when Mr. Carter failed to show up in court.

YUMA, Ariz. – A bench warrant was issued Tuesday for Grammy Award-winning rapper Lil Wayne, who is facing drug and weapons charges in Arizona.

A Yuma County Superior Court judge issued the warrant after the entertainer, whose real name is Dwayne Carter, failed to appear in court for a final trial management conference (YahooNews).

I know that Yuma, Arizona is way on the far Southwest part of the country. I also know that they are in a time zone that is a few hours behind the Central and Eastern time zones. I’ll give them that.

But even with those points given, that judge and prosecutor had to have known that Weezy was on lock in another state and it was impossible for Mr. Carter to be there. Yea, they knew. They just didn’t give a damn.

Yuma County prosecutor Deann Sandry said it was the state’s position that Lil Wayne is now a convicted felon and that a bench warrant should be issued and his bond be increased to $150,000.

Poor fella. First they made him take out his fronts, then they made him stop signing autographs, now this.
