Attention Wal-Mart customers: All black people leave the store now

Written by on March 17, 2010

Imagine being in a Walmart store scooping up toilet tissue and toothpaste for your family and someone comes across the public address system and announces, “Attention Wal-Mart customers: All Black people leave the store now.”

Most people in this country in this day and age would be shocked, and that was indeed the reaction from shoppers and employees at the Wal-mart store on Route 42 in Washington Township, New Jersey when this happened.

South Jersey police and the Prosecutor’s Office in Gloucester County are investigating the incident.

Patricia Covington and Shelia Ellington were inside the store when it happened and told the Courier Post that customers and store employees looked stunned when they heard it.

“In 2010, I want to know why such statements are being made because it flies in the face of what we teach them [our kids] at home, and that’s tolerance for people,” said Ellington.(NBCPhiladelphia)

This was most likely some individual asshole who had the audacity to get on a PA system and purposely say the wrong thing. However, I’m still tryna get my case together to sue Wal-mart. Maybe this is how I can finally get my piece of the pie.

Wal-Mart management called the incident “unacceptable,” and said it’s working to make sure nothing like this happens at any other stores.

Please send your suggestions to me on how I can come up with a law suit and make it stick. I’ll break you off ten percent.
