Even though the Blackhawks are still struggling a bit since the Winter Olympics, they got themselves back in gear on Tuesday evening from the United Center with a huge shutout win over Phoenix 2-0, which snaps the Coyotes’ 9-game winning streak.

The win also allowed Chicago to creep past ahead San Jose with 99 points, which puts them atop the Western Conference.

Antti Niemi started for the Blackhawks at goaltender & wound up recording his 2nd shutout in the last 6 days (6 shutouts on season is tied for 6th in the entire NHL.)

Chicago will enjoy an off day today before returning to action on Thursday evening to take on the Columbus Stars, who rank 14th in the Western Conference.
