In a draft day deal on Thursday, the Chicago Bulls traded guard Kirk Hinrich along with the rights to Kevin Seraphin (17th pick in the 2010 NBA Draft) to the Washington Wizards.

The trade now means that Chicago has roughly $30 million to spend this summer in a star-studded group of free agents that include LeBron James, Dwyane Wade & Chris Bosh.

The Bulls already offer a young & talented nucleus of Derrick Rose & Joakim Noah, plus a new head coach in Tom Thibodeau that helped Boston make two NBA Finals appearences in the last three years.

Hinrich spent the last 7 years in the Windy City, as he accepted more of a backup role following the team’s selection of Derrick Rose in the 2008 NBA Draft, as he wound up winning Rookie of the Year.

Chicago will receive a future 2nd round pick as part of today’s trade.
