Jets head coach Rex Ryan on Tomlinson’s performance, as he went over 100 rushing yards on Sunday for the first time in 25 games:

“It’s not what we want to be, it’s not what we set out to be, but it’s what we are. We have to find a way to dig ourselves out of a hole. We are in a hole. We are behind in the division and lost two division games. It’s certainly disappointing, and on the road, too. You have to be able win on the road.”

“Bottom line, we all have responsibilities and over the course of the past few weeks he’s neglected responsibilities, he’s been unaccountable in a couple of situations. When that happens you’ve got to learn a lesson, pay a price. I’m disappointed in him, but proud of him coming back and playing well today.”

“He’s the best tight end in football. You mix that with a variety of formations and running the football and we get some matchups that we were able to take advantage of. It’s always nice to see No. 85 running wide open.”

“It’s tough to see anyone get hit like that, especially our quarterback. I don’t know what happened, but he didn’t go back in so it’s probably not good.
