Congratulations to Ron Washington’s Texas Rangers, who are headed to their first ever World Series appearence in franchise history.

The Rangers will now try to become the first team since the 2002 Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim to win a World Series in their 1st ever trip.

As for Joe Girardi’s New York Yankees, they suffer their first American League Championship Series loss since 2004, which was against the Boston Red Sox after they held a 3 game to none lead.

Texas will now await the winner of the San Francisco/Philadelphia NLCS to complete the field for the 2010 World Series.
