After a stunning decision to retire over the off-season, it seems as if 35-year old Derrick Mason has had a change of heart.

The 12-year NFL veteran wide receiver ended his brief 20-day retirement on Saturday when he showed up to Baltimore Ravens’ training camp in Westminster, MD much to the delight of his teammates.

Mason has finished with at least 60 receptions & over 1,000 yards receiving in 7 of his past 8 seasons, which began with the Tennessee Titans in the 2001-02 campaign.

Derrick will continue to be the team’s #1 option at wide receiver, while 5th year wideout Mark Clayton continues his development as the #2 option for quarterback Joe Flacco.

Mason will try to help Baltimore make back-to-back playoff appearences since 2000 & 2001, when Brian Billick was the team’s head coach.
