Breaking News: Michael Vick signs 2-yr deal with Eagles

Written by on August 13, 2009

It’s been over 3 years since the Terrell Owens fiasco, but it appears that Andy Reid is ready to take another gamble on a controversial player.

The Philadelphia Eagles agreed with free-agent quarterback Michael Vick on Thursday evening to a 2-year deal, as Vick will be eligible to make his 2009 season debut in Week 6 on October 18th against the Oakland Raiders.

Vick will also be eligible to make what now has to be a much-anticipated return to the Georgia Dome on December 6th in Week 13 to face the Atlanta Falcons, who drafted him with the 1st overall pick in the 2001 NFL Draft.

Ironically, Vick’s last NFL game was against the Philadelphia Eagles on Christmas Eve of 2006, as he completed 8 of 14 passes for a season-low 81 yards during Atlanta’s 24-17 loss.
